The Underworld is playing a deadly game - and it’s up to the Prince of Envy to win it if he wants to save his falling Court. His first clue drops him in the fascinating gallery of one Camilla Antonius, an enchanting and mysteriously talented artist.

But with everything else going on, I read this as two lonely beings struggling with life, who ultimately have to come together to solve their own problems.

It took me a bit to get into this one, as I found the detail overwhelming until I could start placing who was who and in what context. But once I did, I appreciated the lush imagery - the world of Waverly Green was easy to picture, and Maniscalco’s atttention to detail in describing her characters, even down to the way they move through their worlds painted portraits that were easy to imagine.
