Sarah’s Thoughts: I read this in 2 days, stayed up until 3am to finish it and then cried on my dogs for 20 minutes when I did. I usually avoid books with dogs because I always worry about what happens to them, but I still recommend this one, especially if you have a dog. It’s sad and you will cry. But it’s also so, so beautiful.
Goodreads: 4.23/5
Enzo knows he is different from other dogs: a philosopher with a nearly human soul (and an obsession with opposable thumbs), he has educated himself by watching television extensively, and by listening very closely to the words of his master, Denny Swift, an up-and-coming race car driver.
Through Denny, Enzo has gained tremendous insight into the human condition, and he sees that life, like racing, isn't simply about going fast.
Note: Slight wear along cover edges.
